General terms and conditions of Sternbräu, valid from 1. 10. 2014

I. Booking terms and conditions

1. Room wish: As an individual or a group (not a bus group) doing a reservation, you can express a room wish. We try to meet your needs as much as possible.

Please note that the halls and rooms on the first floor are connected with minimum food and drink consumption sums independent of the number of reserved people. More in section 6 of these booking conditions.

The allocation of bus groups to our parlours and halls is always carried out by our Restaurant Manager, as logistical and administrative considerations are crucial here.

2. Beer garden: Please note that bookings in our beer gardens for coach groups are not possible. Individuals and all other groups can reserve in the garden. 

3. Extras: Please inform us about special needs (such as special barrier-free accessibility) and desires (such as special allergen-free food) at the reservation so that we can schedule these needs and wants in time.

4. Punctuality: Concerning reservations, we ask for absolute punctuality, as we can hold up your table(s) only for 15 minutes after the agreed date. If you or your group are delayed for more than 15 minutes, we ask for a phone call on +43 662 84 21 40 due to planning reasons.

5. Free place bonus (only for group menu reservations): Every 21st person is free, ie: 20 + 1 free, 40 + 2 persons free, 60 + 3 people free. Each 21st menu is thus free of charge. 

6. Minimum food and drink consumption sums (for groups): Minimum consumption sums vary depending on the chosen room or hall and refer to those groups who want to reserve a particular room on the first floor (not bus tour groups). If the totals of the groups are under that sum, the difference must be paid.

Our house is equipped with the latest multimedia technology (digital signage, magic mirrors). For the use of projectors, microphones, music and lighting systems, technology flat rates have to be paid. 

The list of minimum food and drink consumption sums and technology flat rates is available on request. This list is an integral part of any reservation contract with us concerning these rooms or technologies. 

7. Smaller amounts (less persons come as booked): If less than 80 % of the confirmed number of people are present, the restaurant manager hast to charge € 10,-- extra per person not present. This sum is only due for à la carte groups of 20 or more people. 

8. Payment: On the spot (cash, cash or credit card) or prepayment (advance payment by bank transfer). We accept Maestro, VISA and Mastercard. Payment with an online service (eg PayPal) is not possible in the moment.

9. Seasonal restrictions (during the high season in the months of June, July, August and December): Due to organisational reasons, in these months group reservations are only possible for the following time spans (this temporal limitation only affects menu groups or groups with 20 or more people):

o Lunch: 11:30 am until 1 pm and 1:30 pm until 3 pm

o Dinner: Before 6 pm clock or after 8:30 pm

10. Legal force of a reservation: With our or your written confirmation, usually sent by e-mail, a legally binding contract of reservation comes into existence, which falls under these general terms and conditions.


II. Cancellation conditions

Please let us know cancellations and changes concerning your reservation as soon as possible. On weekends and holidays, a short-term change or cancellation must necessarily be reported to the restaurant manager by phone: + 43 662 84 21 40.

Cancellations are subject to the following terms and may oblige you to pay amounts to us:

1. Cancellations of groups with menus (< 30 people):

o  3 days in advance: free

o  3-1 day in advance: payment of 50 % of the confirmed number of people

(always based on the price of the chosen menu and possible extras per person)

o  Same day: payment of 100 % of the confirmed number of people 

 

2. Cancellations of group menus (> 30 people):

o   1 week in advance: free

o   6-2 days in advance: payment of 50 % of the confirmed number of people

o   Same day or the day before: payment of 100 % of the confirmed number of people

 

3.   À la carte cancellations (< 20 people)

o   Up to 2 hours in advance: free

o   Less than 2 hours left: payment of € 10,-- per person

 

4. À la carte cancellations (20-50 people):

o   3 days in advance: free

o   3-1 day in advance: payment of 50 % of the confirmed number of people at € 10,-- per person

o   Same day: payment of 100 % of the confirmed number of people at € 10,-- per person

 

5. À la carte cancellations(> 50 people):

o   1 week in advance: free

o   6-2 days in advance: payment of 50 % of the confirmed number of people at € 10,-- per person

o   Same day or the day before: payment of 100% of the confirmed number of people at € 10,-- per person

 

III. Place of fulfilment and jurisdiction
 

The place of fulfilment is Salzburg City. Reservations are considered as contracts and subject to Austrian law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Salzburg City.
